I stopped into Corrado today to have a bite. The store is tiny, the bathroom is tiny, and my sandwiches were tiny as well. I ordered a Prosciutto and Mozzarella, and a Sun Dried Tomato and Mozzarella sandwich. Both sandwiches were good. My bill with a bottle of Poland Spring water was $14.00. This is fair because rent in this neighborhood is obscene. Thank U next!
Corrado Bread and Pastry at this location is always too too busy for me. There's always people lined up where I can't see what's in the pastry display cases. You have to be very patient if you want to eat here. It's cramped seating inside. If I get a pastry it's to go or I sit outside weather permitting. THEN TODAY I lucked out. No one was here. I got a little cheese bread turkey/cheese thingy, for desert a little organic bite, and added a small coffee for $8.60. I sat inside and enjoyed every bite. The coffee is decent too! There's no doubt that the food is delicious! I usually prefer to go to another location where it's not as popular! Now I know the key is to come in summer when everyone is gone, plus make it an early breakfast! The employees were very nice. I was allowed to pay cash too. There's a unisex bathroom in back. It's air conditioned. This place is clean early in the morning, I can't speak for later in the day. I'm recommending!
Fantastic cafe with pastries and *Fruit tarts! I have been looking for and unable to find my favorite custard filled fruit tart dessert for about a year. I believe there was an issue with an ingredient being difficult to find or a provider going out of business during the pandemic, but alas, Corrado has a Pastry Chef providing these delicious treats. I was thrilled to finally find them. Incredibly delicious. They also have a number of pasties and great bagels my son enjoyed. Besides limited inside seating, they have a number of distanced outside tables with outside covered seating areas on two sides of the cafe. Highly recommend for breakfasts, pastries and fruit tarts.
A simple and quaint cafe/ bakery/ sandwich shop with a nice variety of options. A lot of outdoor seating. Convenient spot to stop before hitting Central Park for a morning stroll
